I’m uninspired to shoot during my commute these days, not because I don’t want to but because the weather has been so perfectly dull. Clear, but hazy skies and/or high fog on virtually windless days for two weeks. So, for today’s photo, I went back to that weird, wispy fog day at the Golden Gate Bridge last month and pulled up this image of a fog stream.

My wife scored a pair of NOS, handmade in the USA, Chisholm boots off eBay for a song. They were delivered this afternoon and when she put them on she kept them on. Keepers! For fun, I took some shots of the boots with my iPhone–again using the Hipstamatic app.

It’s my Friday off so I spent a few minutes this morning with my iPhone 4 figuring out how to get the Hipstamatic app to record in high resolution. The low rez shots are cool for quicky snap sharing, but for archiving and blog posts 1936×1936 is the way to go. I posted the first blue globe image a couple of weeks ago–it was shot in low rez using a wacky Hipstamatic “film” selection. This one was shot in high rez with the app set to a much tamer “film” selection.
BTW, the blue globes are solar powered night lights for the patio.

There wasn’t much beauty in today’s commute, so to “celebrate” that fact I didn’t stop to take photos. Instead I antiqued this shot I took a month or so ago up at the old batteries on Hendrik Point near the Golden Gate Bridge.

I took this shot a couple of weekends back while I was out cruising the back roads looking to capture some barren hill vistas. This scene is just a few miles from my house and was the first I photographed during that drive.
