End of the road

At the last exit on my commute home I get off the highway, head towards town, and there’s a roundabout for a new housing development. Halfway around the roundabout is the turn towards this end of the road scene at the Petaluma river.

Spring has sprung in the North Bay

Along a stretch of Hwy 101 called the “Novato Narrows” the highway slims down to two lanes in either direction. Heading north along the Narrows drivers pass the Gnoss Field airport, Olompali Park (where the Grateful Dead once had a haunt), the Redwood Sanitary Landfill (aka, the dump), and eventually the Marin/Sonoma County line. About a mile from the county line, on the east side of the highway, is this view.
